Thomas Sperle has more than 20 years of experience from oil and gas. Thomas has served 10 years at Statoil (now Equinor) within R&D, onshore operations, international business development and as engineering manager and project manager for offshore projects. In these positions, Thomas gained experience in management of teams in 4 different business units.
Thomas was then CTO in the oil & gas service company RESMAN for 7 years. RESMAN is a company that has succeeded internationally with a disruptive technology for reservoir surveillance. Experience from these years includes responsibility for the R&D team and the R&D portfolio, technology strategy, IP, contracts and partners, and a central role in an exit process and exit to PE (Nordic Capital) in 2015.
Since 2019, Thomas has been working with CoFounder, where he has been a partner since 2020. CoFounder is an investment- and management for hire company, investing in technology companies. The years in CoFounder involved technology development and commercialization in start-ups across several industries. Main responsibilities have included building teams, securing IP, business development and piloting, funding and capitalization.
Thomas is educated at NTNU and has a PhD in Chemical Engineering from 2001.
